Bradford ran in eight tries to outclass Salford and keep their slim hopes of reaching the play-offs alive.
Chris Nero scored the first of his three tries in the second minute before sending Semi Tadulala over as the Bulls raced to a 24-6 half-time lead.
Salford's John Wilshere added to his first-half try and Mark Henry touched down, but by that time, Nero and Tadulala had crossed again for Bulls.
Andy Lynch forced his way over for the Bulls' final try in the closing stages.
The result means Bradford must win their final match of the regular season at Hull on Friday and hope Catalans lose at St Helens.
Bradford have never missed out on reaching the play-offs.

Bradford coach Steve McNamara:
"We've not been doing too much different from earlier in the year but the football gods weren't shining on us. Now they're shining on us a little bit.
"I don't think we were quite as good as we have been but we've still posted a reasonable victory.
"We've given ourselves a fighting chance, although I thought we dropped off from our best form. It's still out of our hands. If Catalans go and win, it's not an issue."
Salford coach Shaun McRae:
"It was imperative we started well but we turned the ball over on the third tackle and never recovered.
"Bradford showed their strength and power and certainly their desire to win the game.
"I thought they were very good and we were good at times but there were just too many errors and too many penalties. We were never able to settle."
