McGuire keen to keep England spot McGuire had a torrid time against Australia on Saturday England stand-off Danny McGuire has urged coach Tony Smith to keep faith with him for Saturday's crunch Four Nations game against New Zealand. The 26-year-old is under pressure after struggling during the first half of last weekend's defeat by Australia. "I was disappointed with some areas of my game but I know what I need to do to put things right," said McGuire. "I hope Tony gives me a chance to help the boys build on what we did in the second half last Saturday." England face the Kiwis at Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium for the right to take on Australia in the final at Elland Road on 14 November. But New Zealand are firm favourites after drawing with Australia and thrashing France, while England lost 26-16 to Australia after being 26-0 down at half-time. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/8339431.stm

Got my ticket for this one. Hope it's gonna be a good game and we dont end up walking away disappointed as usual.
I agree with Tomkins and Eastmond at 6 & 7 mind. we looked sharper with them there, Sinfield at Hooker and Burgess at loose.

'SOME' Fight is what England need early on, to stop the oposition getting an early lead.
It's no good taking 30 minutes to warm up and get into your stride.

Strong start is vital, says Smith England's display against Australia left Smith with some thinking to do England coach Tony Smith says it is vital they start strongly in their key Four Nations game against New Zealand at Huddersfield on Saturday. England have produced poor first-half shows against France and Australia, and with a place in the final against the Kangaroos at stake, they must improve. "The players are really conscious of it," said Smith. "We'll talk about it and try to come up with something. We'd love to have a better start, that's pretty obvious." England trailed France 12-4 at half-time in the opening game of the tournament, before recovering to win 34-12. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/8339431.stmWhat did I just say !

I'm not sure that Joe had a good enough season to book his place.
Although I think Owen had an outstanding season and if I had to pick one Cas player for the squad it would have been him.
Oh, and Barra, Of course we know it's a quality Forum.
